طالبت الحكومة التركية والتحالف الدولي ضد تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية اليوم الجمعة، القوات الروسية بضرورة وقف عملياتها الجوية في سوريا، والتي اعتبرتها تصعيدا للحرب داخل التراب السوري.
وأبدى التحالف الدولي بقيادة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قلقه تجاه الوضع في سوريا خاصة بعد هجمات السلاح الجوي الروسي، مشيرا بالقول “نعرب عن قلقنا العميق فيما يتعلق بالحشد العسكري الروسي في سوريا وخاصة هجمات سلاح الجو الروسي في حماة وحمص وإدلب منذ أمس الخميس، التي أدت إلى سقوط ضحايا من المدنيين ولم تستهدف داعش”.
وفي نفس السياق، اعتبر الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتن ما تداولته وسائل الإعلام بخصوص استهداف الضربات الجوية الروسية لمواقع المعارضة المعتدلة والمدنيين بـ “الهجوم الإعلامي”.
ومن جهته أكد رئيس لجنة الشؤون الخارجية في مجلس النواب الروسي أليكسي بوشكوف، أن القوات الروسية لن تتوقف عن استهداف مواقع داعش، الأمر الذي قد يستمر أربعة أشهر.
وأضاف بوشكوف أن وثيرة العمليات الروسية ستتصاعد تدريجيا، مشيرا إلى أن بلاده حددت ثلاثة إلى أربعة أشهر كمدة للعمليات المستمرة على داعش.

وفي الوقت الذي تطالب فيه دول التحالف بضرورة وقف العمليات الجوية، تحدثت بعض المصادر الأمنية اللبنانية عن وصول المئات من الجنود الإيرانيين إلى سوريا من أجل المشاركة في العملية البرية ضد تنظيم “داعش”، إلى جانب مقاتلي حزب الله الشيعي.

Hi Dale, thanks for your comment. Likewise, I would have enjoyed putting a current-gen 4Runner SR5 (or even Trail) up against the Wrangler. Unfortunately, we are limited to the current inventory of our local media fleet, and there is not a 4Runner available at this time. My thought was that the GX, 4Runner, Tacoma and FJ Cruiser are all derived from Toyota’s off-road-capable Prado platform. Would I want to tear up a new $67k SUV? Probably not. But knowing that its body-on-frame architecture and low-range gearing are up to the task is pretty neat, I think. Thanks for reading!
