تحت رعاية وزارة الشباب والرياضة العراقية، تم إحياء حفل زفاف جماعي ل250 مقاتلا من قوات الحشد الشعبي المشاركين في الحرب ضد تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية” في العراق. وارتدى العرسان الزي العسكري ولف كل منهم رقبته بوشاح بألوان العلم العراقي. وقدمت لكل زوجين بعض الأثاث.
أقيم اليوم الاثنين في بغداد حفل زفاف جماعي ل250 مقاتلا من قوات الحشد الشعبي الذين يشاركون في القتال ضد تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية”، بعدما قدمت لهم السلطات وشركات خاصة غرفة نوم وتلفزيون وثلاجة.
وقال مدير العلاقات والتعاون الدولي في وزارة الشباب والرياضة أكرم نعيم إن الأخيرة “تبنت حفل زواج 250 مقاتلا من الحشد الشعبي، وأوضح أن الخطوط الجوية العراقية وشركات محلية وأجنبية شاركت في دعم الاحتفال الذي تقدر كلفته بنحو مليون دولار، بحسب المصدر نفسه.
وبدأ الحفل بالنشيد الوطني والوقوف دقيقة صمت حدادا على المقاتلين الذين سقطوا في المعارك المستمرة منذ نحو عام ضد الجهاديين.

Instead of worrying about “rich” and “poor” neighborhoods maybe we should get back to some basics? How about helping those poor to learn what they need and then teaching the rich what they don’t need. Have people grow friendships, food and relationships rather that needing or wanting shit we don’t need to survive.
I’m 32 and I have no idea who that guy is, but while he comes off as a total a-hole, I like that he doesn’t sugar-coat things. My Grandfather was like that. There’s a difference between being honest, and just being a dick.
I lived and loved in Samui for my whole first year in Thailand. Mae Nam, Big Buddha Beach and Tong Sai Bay before they built the resort there. Magnificent. There are still tiny unspoiled corners and it’s still a special place for me…. I miss it terribly but family and business have brought me to Chiang Mai. Avoid Chaweng and Lamai and Tesco. Understand that it’s not exactly Robinson Crusoe territory anymore. But still a place you could fall in love with over and over again.
Yesterday’s XF Total was a blast! Dave, you did a super job really ‘marketing’ the event and then making it one! And it was fun to get folks from all classes together.And finally, I think all the athletes yesterday kicked some a$$! Nice work, XFD!

I say even if we do win out and go to play for the Roses the hunt must begin now for a new Coach and not just base our decision such as with one Game as we did with BO.I say begin talks with say TCU’s coach or Boise states coach or as some have suggested Fitzgeral at North Western but anyway you slice it and we keep putting off the replacement of BO the longer the embarrasing losses will be there each an every year.

I love buying gifts for certain people, especially when I have a good idea. I’ve had a few internet tabs open for weeks now, just waiting until a ‘reasonable’ time to order their perfect present (but not bought bc I’m terrified of buying them, the forgetting I bought them, then finding them in a closet in 3 years….)Anyway, with those gifts that I’m really excited about put aside, I’m very much in agreement that I’d rather pool money for an experience than stuff. I just try limit all my auto Tweets/FB statuses from a variety of media sources [whether Gowalla, YouTube (which I can get carried away sometimes), iPhone game scores, Dugg stories etc.]. I think it’s good to share from those sparingly for the better stuff but not for everything. I have realized that I have run out of movies to watch. The ones that I own just get old after a while, and I don’t have enough money to go out and rent something every single time that I feel like watching one. A friend of mine told me that I can get a free ares download, and watch as many movies that I can want. Well, it sounded like a pretty good deal to me, so I got all signed up. 10:55 am, September 8, 2012|Awesome!It’s strange, because re-releasing classics to the big screen is becoming a popular trend. Just saw Jaws at my local theater a few weeks ago, and a month before that, they showed A Clockwork Orange.I don’t know if it was nationwide or not, but my local theater re-released Halloween 2 (2009) during October last year. Not too crazy about that film, but seeing it on the big screen again felt pretty cool. Never seen the original on the big screen before, so I’m really looking forward to this.
My daughter doesn’t like chocolate, so she has never had brownies. I was so excited when I saw this recipe and made them last night…they are fantastic!! Everyone in the family loved them. This is definitely something I will make over and over!

I think the NIZ is a great idea. Without the larger cities like Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Allentown, etc. those neighboring areas don't have much of a tax base at all. When their residents have no jobs to go to, because those larger cities generate the power for the regional economies, directly and indirectly, let's see how they do. Frankly, as a Philadelphia resident, my taxes go to pay for those weenies who moved to the suburbs because they don't have the guys or work ethic to try to make their neighborhoods better.
