ذكرت مصادر إعلامية فلسطينية أن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يتهيأ لمواجهات أكثر حدة في الضفة الغربية مع استمرار التوتر بين الفلسطينيين والسلطات الإسرائيلية.
وذكرت شبكة “قدس” الإخبارية أن رئيس أركان جيش الاحتلال أصدر تعليماته بالحفاظ على اليقظة تأهبا لتصاعد حدة المواجهات.
إلى ذلك واصل المستوطنون الإسرائيليون اعتداءاتهم على مقدسات الفلسطينيين بالضفة الغربية حيث أضرم عدد منهم فجر اليوم الأربعاء النار في مسجد بقرية المغير شرق رام الله.
واندلعت النيران بالطابق الأول من المسج الغربي حيث دمر بالكامل في الوقت الذي لم تفلح فيه جهود سكان القرية في إطفاء الحريق.
ويعد هذا هو المسجد الثاني بقرية المغير الذي يتعرض لإضرام النار من قبل المستوطنين بعدما قاموا بحرق آخر وكتابة عبارات معادية للفلسطينيين والعرب على جدرانه.
هذا وضربت سلطات الاحتلال حصارا على القرية حيث أعلنتها منطقة عسكرية منذ مساء يوم أمس الثلاثاء إلى غاية الثانية من فجر اليوم الأربعاء.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the obvious (to me, at least) selection effect at work here. These are all American residents with different national origins. These are the ones who, for one reason or another, broke with the mother country and went to America. Such people cannot be representative of their mother countries — if they were, they'd be back home! They're bold or driven or fugitive or ostracized or something else. Because their nation of origin strongly affects their reason for coming to the USA, I cannot imagine what useful inferences can be drawn from this data.

Powyższy wpis zachęcił mnie do wypróbowania PCLinuxOS. Kiedyś już testowałem przez krótki czas wersję z LXDE. Tym razem pobieram wersję z KDE. Już 2 lub 3 razy próbowałem się przekonać do KDE na Ubuntu. Może tym razem mi się spodoba? Akurat mam wolną partycję 11 GB, w sam raz na testy.

We usually made the long trips during the summer for a family reunion. There are plenty of stories of craziness from those times. I don’t think either cover works, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with the first, illustrated example. On the second cover, the girl doesn’t look authentically scared — she looks fake, and posed. Also, I subscribe to a blog that posts free ebooks that are available each day, and the second cover looks like every free YA book that I’ve seen recently. It’s possible that’s what sells, and that’s why they all look that way (in which case I guess it’s the way to go), but as an adult, I don’t even bother to read the summaries of the ones that have this sort of sameness.
